What is Aviva’s DigiCare+ Service?

If you have an Aviva personal protection policy (excluding Simple Life Insurance), which you took out through a financial adviser you will have access to Aviva’s DigiCare+ service.

Powered by Square Health, DigiCare+ is a mobile based app which goes beyond just insurance.

Helping to provide holistic protection for you and your family, the app offers a range of complimentary health and wellbeing services, designed to help prevent, detect and manage common health conditions.

What Benefits Are Included With DigiCare+?

DigiCare+ gives you access to a range of interconnected benefits which are broken down into three different service types – health and lifestyle, treatment and bereavement services.

These services can be accessed at the touch of a button, so taking control of your health and well-being has never been easier. The best bit is, these services can all be used without you having to make a claim.

Health & Lifestyle Services

Making the right lifestyle choices can be difficult, however with the right knowledge and services at your finger tips you’ll be able to stay on top of your health and even prevent certain common conditions from occurring.

  • Annual Health Check
    Give yourself a health MOT with an annual home testing kit. Using a simple finger prick blood sample, 20 different health markers can be tested and help to detect early health problems such as risk of diabetes, cholesterol status and liver health.
  • Nutrition Support
    Receive up to 6 consultations a year with a trained nutritionist, who can help make sure that you and your family are making the right choices when it comes to food.
  • Gym Discounts
    Take advantage of up to 25% off gym memberships and see how regular exercise can help to improve your physical and mental wellbeing.

Treatment Services

Treatment services give you access to a number of physical and mental health support services, helping you mange, improve or even prevent certain health conditions from happening.

  • Bupa Anytime HealthLine
    Whether you have an everyday health concern or something more serious, this 24 hour helpline gives you and your family (partner, children and parents) access to a qualified nurse at a time that is convenient for you.With no limit on the number of times you can use this service, you have peace of mind knowing that a healthcare professional is at the end of the phone when you need them.
  • Digital GP Consultation (Optional Paid-For Service)
    A great additional benefit for those who don’t have time to visit the doctors surgery.Offering three sessions a year with a private GP, you can access services such as private prescriptions, consultant referrals, sick notes and medical advice all from the comfort of your own home.

    You’ll have the flexibility to see a doctor within 24 hours and can share your three sessions with your partner and any eligible children (up to the age of 18, or 21 in full time education).

  • Mental Health Support
    Whether you have concerns about your own mental health, your partners or a child (up to the age of 18, or 21 in full time education), this service gives you quick access to mental health advice from a UK based specialist. Up to 6 appointments a year can be booked within the app.

  • Physiotherapy
    Aviva Income Protection+ policy holders can access services including phone consultations, online physio programmes and up to three face-to-face sessions per condition, per year.Helping them to recover as quickly as possible from injury.

Bereavement Services

Losing a loved one is a stressful and traumatic event which can be hard to cope with. The Aviva DigiCare+ app offers a range of services which can help to support you and your loved ones should the worst happen. These incude:

  • Bereavement Counselling
    With access to 6 video or phone based sessions with a qualified counsellor you, your partner and children can get the support you need to help deal with the loss of a loved one.

    These sessions are additional to the 6 included as a part of the mental health service and can be used in the 12 month period following on from someones death.

  • Grief Talk
    Provided by Grief Encounter, this service is a helpline for children and their families who’ve suffered the loss of a loved one.
  • Estate Administration
    Dealing with a loved ones estate after they’ve passed away can be a stressful and overwhelming process. This service offers tools to guide you through each step, including valuing and distributing your loved ones estate, finalising tax or paying debts.
  • Fast-Tracked Funeral Payments
    Aviva will pay the funds from a death claim directly to a funeral director (up to £11,000) if urgently needed, giving you one less thing to worry about should the worst happen.
  • Bereavement Guide
    The grief that comes with losing a loved one is enough to deal with, without having to think about all the legalities that go with it.

    The Bereavement Guide service aims to take some of this stress away by guiding you through the practicalities of losing a loved one, whether thats registering a death, arranging a funeral or dealing with a will.
